Happy St. Patrick's Day from Freddy to you!

Thursday evening was the Benton Haystack Supper and Art Show!
The Art Show had hundreds of submissions filling the main hallway showcasing all of the talents the elementary students have. The haystack was a fundraiser to support The Window in Goshen, which helps families in need in and around the Goshen area.

Fairfield Community Schools recognized a special young man Thursday at its school board meeting. Fairfield Junior High eighth grader Tristan Whitaker was spotlighted by FCS Superintendent Dr. Carrie Cannon as well as School Board President Sarah Elledge, noting the progress Whitaker has made this school year. With the support team around him, Whitaker has shown tremendous growth in the classroom as well as socially in school, and FCS took a moment to commend him on his progress.
Whitaker is shown at the meeting with Elledge during his recognition session.
Well done Mr. Whitaker, keep it going!

Three Fairfield High School students were bestowed a tremendous honor today.
In a ceremony at St. James Restaurant in Avilla, the Northeast Corner Conference honored 26 individuals as the top academic students in the conference.
Representing Fairfield were, in the photo from left to right, Branden Deiner, Caleb Borkholder and Aidan Bender.
These three were the top students at Fairfield based on a points system of criteria including SAT/ACT scores and a seven-semester GPA equation.
Congrats to the three on getting the job in the classroom throughout their time at Fairfield!

Representatives from Junior Achievement were on hand Thursday at New Paris Elementary to work with fifth graders on some of the ins and outs of how business, marketing and enterprise work. The classes initially heard speakers talk about businesses begin, what goes into the processes, and then how businesses can succeed. Students then began hands-on business practices, including pricing items, marketing their products, and what happens once you make the money on the sale.
Thank you to the Junior Achievement representatives for enlightening our students on real-world practices and making the learning fun!

If you needed any reminder...THREE DAY WEEKEND!!!

Millersburg seventh grade students created robotic parade floats as part of the Tech Ed class this year.
Students first built basic robots and learned how to code the robots to be able to drive a figure-eight course and to flash different colored lights. Then the students were tasked with designing and building a "parade float" that represented their interests or the school.
Very cool stuff!

In case you needed any reminder...THREE DAY WEEKEND!

DayInTheLife - Show and Tell
Performance and the stage are just in some people's blood and fiber. One of those people born for the show is Fairfield senior Liza Weatherton, one of the leaders of two of the top show choir programs in the state. Weatherton and her crew will perform with Fusion and Expressions this weekend at ISSMA State, but there's much more to her story than just song and dance.

Outstanding work done by the Fairfield Sunshine Club, the Fairfield boys basketball program, and every in the Fairfield and Central Noble communities who help put children first with Riley Hospital for Children.

Their hard work is the backbone to our school facilities! Thank you to our team of maintenance workers as we celebrate your national day of recognition!

The biggest event in Millersburg is just two weeks away! Make sure you get your tickets and plan for long lines, as usual!

Friday was a busy day at New Paris Elementary as the school celebrated Parent's Day!
Students in all grade levels hosted their parents or guests as part of a full day of activities, songs, computer games, and whatever else teachers had planned for their bigger 'new students'.
Having the opportunity to get kids to interact and be proud of their classwork, their peers and teachers in a fun setting with family is a tradition New Paris and Fairfield Community Schools, in general, is proud to maintain.
