Fairfield FFA had a very unique opportunity to attend a Farm Bureau seminar at the Showalter Farm in Benton Tuesday afternoon. What made the trip extra special was guest speaker Congressman Rudy Yakym, who represents Elkhart County and was on hand to tour the farm and hold a Q&A with the 50-plus people in attendance.
Yakym posed for pictures with the FFA as well as toured the Showalter Farm among his stop in the area. Fairfield FFA, led by advisor Karrin Koontz, brought nearly a dozen students to take part in the experience.

Fairfield Community Schools were back in session, which Wednesday's return to the classroom was an apex to a week of prep and anticipation at all four of the district buildings! WELCOME BACK!

Fairfield Community Schools sent 71 staff members - that's almost 50 percent of our teachers, school counselors, social workers, and administrators - to the PLC at Work Conference in Lincolnshire, IL earlier this week.
Over the span of three days, our team learned more about the Professional Learning Community process and how it can be used at Fairfield to increase student achievement. Educating our students is our "why," and when almost half of our staff volunteer some of their last days of summer break to learn more about how working together can help all of our students achieve at high levels, the 2023-24 school year looks like it's off to a tremendous start!

There is always a need for substitute teachers, and we would love to have you!
Find our how you can be part of our awesome school system!
