The second running of the Fair In The Field is in the books, held last Saturday under almost perfect weather on the Fairfield campus. We enjoyed a very good turnout, highlighted by fun, food and friends among the community. A huge thank you to all of the volunteers, donors, workers and organizers to once again bring a fun gathering to usher in the school year!

We've got two days left until Fair In The Field! Make sure your plans include hanging with us on Saturday from 1-6 p.m. at the Fairfield athletic complex. It's supposed to be 75 and sunny, can't beat it!

Fairfield community students have projects and animals all over the fairgrounds, and are doing well in competition!
Check out the latest gallery of some of our kids achieving at one of the biggest fairs in the country!

It was a busy opening weekend at the Elkhart County 4-H Fair, and our Fairfield community was right in the middle of it. The parade on Sunday was full of Falcon Pride, literally with the Fairfield Marching Pride and Color Guard, along with Fairfield cheerleading to go along with all three community fire departments, as well as a host of individuals in clubs and organizations that marched through Goshen to the fairgrounds. We also had Kylee Sark and Cheyenne Bender among the finalists for the Fair Queen, Sark landing third runner-up!
We'll have another gallery later today with kids and their projects and animal exhibits!
A reminder, if you would like to get in on our photo galleries from the Elkhart County 4-H Fair, please email a photo(s) with the individual's name and a brief description of what's going on to Mike Deak at mdeak@fairfield.k12.in.us

Hey Fairfield families participating at the Elkhart County 4-H Fair this week!
If you have someone earning recognition in any manner this week at the fair, we would like to show them off! Whether they are showing pigs, in the fair pageant, marching in the parade, or getting a ribbon in the project building, we want to spotlight all the good things our kids are doing!
If you'd like us to highlight someone, please email a photo with their name, their project/activity, and a very brief description of what they are doing and/or award to:

Fairfield Community Schools recently completed the first RAD women’s self-defense class. This initial class was offered to employees and their children.
What is RAD Self Defense, you may ask? It is a comprehensive self-defense program specifically designed to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to protect themselves against various forms of assault. The class consists of lecture, discussion and practicing self defense techniques that are suitable for women of all ages.
The instructors, FCS Police Chief Skyler Garner and Jessica Dunlap, look forward to offering courses to the greater Fairfield Community in the near future. If you would like to be added to the list, or if you have any questions regarding RAD, please reach out to Officer Garner at skgarner@fairfield.k12.in.us
