Our Athletic Department took a group of student athletes along with Freddy and Freda to New Paris Elementary today for their Riley Rally. The Rally included some wrestling and a basketball relay and of course some cheers from our amazing cheerleaders! Last year we raised over $34K and this year we want to raise even more than that so we are asking all the elementary schools to help raise funds as well. The elementary school that raises the most money will get to keep our traveling red wagon trophy for the year!! Each school is brainstorming and coming up with their own fundraiser. Millersburg and Benton will be visited in the coming weeks.

As we look toward next week's weather, it is a good reminder that our inclement closures are different this year. We no longer have snow make up days in our calendar. Any inclement closures will be eLearning days. For more information about eLearning, look at the linked document. Additionally, as a reminder, if FCS calls a two hour delay or closure, the announcement will be pushed out through phone calls, texts, emails as designated by parents in Skyward. Delays and closures will be posted on social media, our website, WNDU and WSBT.

What a fantastic show of support! The Christmas Connections Fairfield Sponsor a Family program made a huge impact this holiday season, bringing some spirit to 87 families in the community! This is a jump of over 30 families from 2023! On top of the outreach by the family sponsors, over a dozen local businesses and organizations offered additional donations including over $2,000 in gift cards that were distributed to the families. There is no way this outreach is what it was this year without the kindness and support of those who participated in sponsoring families this year. The program organizers would like to thank everyone who took part, and also for the families who stepped forward in asking for the support. Merry Christmas to everyone!

Today we celebrate those who choose to volunteer their time and pour into our children at a moment's notice. Without substitute teachers, our schools would not function. So we celebrate this national day of recognition for your servant leadership, adaptability and patience with all of our kids! Thank you, subs!
