Carrying over from last year's momentum, we will continue to do a weekly Fairfield sports wrap each Monday.
Girls golf dove into the 2023-24 season with three matches last week.
The lid lifter had Fairfield finish second at last Monday’s Goshen Invite, shooting a 424. Leading the way for Fairfield was Addison Mast with a 97, which was third-best in the tournament. Bella Blosser was sixth at 103, Mallory McGowen was ninth at 105 and Paige Lantz rounded the scoring marks with a 120. Adie Holsopple was the fifth score at 140.
Concord won the team title with a 419.
Fairfield didn’t fare nearly as well Thursday at the NorthWood Invite, scoring 437 to fall to 10th overall. Mast did, however, shoot a personal best 79 to finish ninth overall in the loaded tournament. Penn scorched McCormick’s layout to shoot 293 to win the trophy.
Mast continued to elevate her game, taking medalist honors with a championship 85 to win the Fremont Invite on Saturday. Blosser added a tenth-place score of 98 to help Fairfield to a 408 and second overall in the team standings, chasing Fremont’s 386 title score.

Fairfield Community Schools sent 71 staff members - that's almost 50 percent of our teachers, school counselors, social workers, and administrators - to the PLC at Work Conference in Lincolnshire, IL earlier this week.
Over the span of three days, our team learned more about the Professional Learning Community process and how it can be used at Fairfield to increase student achievement. Educating our students is our "why," and when almost half of our staff volunteer some of their last days of summer break to learn more about how working together can help all of our students achieve at high levels, the 2023-24 school year looks like it's off to a tremendous start!

There is always a need for substitute teachers, and we would love to have you!

Our final week of summer camps was a hot one as marching band finished up their two-week marathon session while boys basketball completed its final of five weeks in the gym. Thank you to all of the kids who participated in our Fairfield camps this summer, and to the coaches, directors and students/athletes who helped create lasting memories for the future of our programs!

ATTENTION PARENTS:
Fairfield Community Schools has discontinued its usage of Mealtime and has subsequently shut down the mymealtime.com account. FCS will be using a different company, and will announce that information in the near future. Stay tuned!
