Elise Schwartz

Something new for this school year - we are taking some in-depth peeks into what makes our Fairfield programs work, a project loosely dubbed ‘DayInTheLife’.

Elise Schwartz is a junior at Fairfield High School and is venturing into her first year in cosmetology. Already headstrong as a student-athlete who was tabbed an All-State tennis player as a sophomore, she also knows how to take on challenges as one of five children in the Schwartz family.

Schwartz is ready to dive into her first year of cosmetology, and we will chronicle her junior year from start to finish, from first-person accounts from Elise herself to life in the salon as a whole.

Meet Elise Schwartz of Fairfield Cosmetology.

What are you looking forward to tackling this year?
“I am looking forward to putting my skills to the test on real people. I think it's safe to say most cosmetology students strive to provide satisfying results for their clients. For me, it would mean the world to play a part in being the reason someone feels good about themself and their appearance."

Talk about your passion for people and/or serving others…
“For me it is a privilege to undergo training on how to serve people.

"There is so much value in understanding a client and helping them see the beauty of their design physically and emotionally."

What are two things people have to know about you to understand you?
“1) I am not perfect and I will make mistakes. My goal in this program and field of work is to always do my best. However, I am still capable of failure and falling short. To me, failure is a new opportunity to become better, and for that I am grateful for my failures.

“2) I will never stop trying to achieve the best version of myself and my work. To me, it's so exhilarating that I have my entire life to create and set new standards of what my best looks like. My standards of “best” regarding my skills will look different every year and that is something I am looking forward to.”
